As 2019 draws to a close, it’s nearly time to welcome in the New Year with Omisoka, the Japanese equivalent of New Year’s Eve. Like New Year’s, Omisoka is a special day for spending time with family and friends. Many people head to their local shrine or temple to count down to the New Year. Make your New Year’s Eve special with a trip to Ibaraki to experience Omisoka!
